set: the fox, everything, wilderness, rollercoaster, step aside, light-rail coyote, was it a lie?, jumpers, modern girl, (jam), what's yours is mine, oh!, let's call it love/entertain encore: one beat, ironclad, the promised land, sympathy 'sympathy' was the most aggressive ive heard it. the rest of the set lacked a little oompf. |

It was a great show - and I agree that Sympathy rocked hard. I also loved What's Mine is Yours. Carrie dedicated Jumpers to a 2006 that is better than 2005. Not sure if it was meant ironically or not. I also LOVED the Hanukkah banter between Carrie & Janet and the crowd. Carrie wished everyone a happy Xmas and then said that she thought it was the 4th night of Hanukkah. I think someone in the crowd said it was the 5th night; they went back and forth re 4th vs 5th night and then Carrie grinned and repeated Janet's "bad Jew" comment. The weird thing was that the crowd just began to leave when S-K called it a night. Like, there wasn't a real concerted encore effort except for a few hearty folks in the way front (thanks, btw!). So it seemed like 1/3 of the crowd had left before they came out for an encore. All in all, well worth redeeming airline miles for the show. kt |
