A few months ago Corin spoke to Noelle Crombie of Mom Beat, The Oregonian about children’s music and alternatives to its sucktitude:
Tucker, who lives in Portland and is mom to a 7-year-old son and a 3-month-old girl (May ‘08), is blunt in her assessment of kids’ music:
“To be honest, I can’t stand almost all children’s music.”
Still, Tucker came up with some great recommendations. Like Carol King’s “Really Rosie.” And Smithsonian Folkways recordings for children. She’s also a fan of Pete Seegar’s “Birds Beasts Bugs & Fishes.”
Her son, Marshall, loves this guy, especially “King of the Road.”
“My son loves that. He knows all the words.”
She said she and her husband try to play music they like and hope Marshall and his baby sister, Glory!, like it, too. “I mean (Marshall) loves Green Day. He loves The Replacements.”
“We play what we like. My parents were the same way. My dad played Woodie Guthrie for us and Queen and his record collection. That is what I was raised on.”

aww, so she had a girl. A girl named Glory! - ??? :/

Calling your daughter ‘Glory’ - That’s a pretty hardcore nod to ‘Buffy’.
(just kidding.)
I never expected Corin or her husband to chose conventional names for their kids. You have to feel free to name your kid whatever you want to.
