ThunderAnt have a new video titled Katchenza featuring Carrie and Fred as obnoxious restaurant owners answering online comments and complaints. Hilarity ensues.
As per usual, you can find the video at ThunderAnt.com.
Captures from the clip will be added to the gallery shortly. And a heads-up regarding this site; be sure to check back within a few days for some epic updates.
The gallery is back online ready for viewing and new registrations. Much love to Mycah for her assistance. <3
Do let me know if you come across any kinks, and thank you all for alerting/bearing with me!
The gallery is and will be offline until further notice due to filthy molesting hackers having infected it with a virus.
I’ll get this sorted when time permits. Until then, I apologise for any inconvenience caused by the downtime.
Janet sat down for a brief Q&A with Indy.com to promote Real Emotional Trash, her first record as a Jick and post SK release. She had this to say when asked about the possibility of a SK reunion:
No talk. Corin (Tucker, Sleater-Kinney singer and guitarist) just had another child, and that’s not conducive to touring. The idea of breaking up the band wasn’t that we would get back together in a few years. We wanted to put it to rest for a long while, quite possibly for good. Right now, I’m just thinking about getting out on tour with the Jicks.
All hopes dashed right there friends. You can find the full interview with Janet here.
Carrie interviewed fellow PDX resident and Blitzen Trapper frontman, Eric Earley after their set at the SXSW Stereogum party. Naturally, Stereogum have the video interview available to view here.
Carrie is also featured on the free South by Southwest Review podcast on NPR’s All Songs Considered.
The Jicks kicked off their Real Emotional Trash tour last night in Minneapolis. Be sure to keep checking the gallery as the tour progresses as we’ll archive images from all shows possible.
I’ve also added photos from The Jicks’ radio session on KEXP from the beginning of the month. SM and his troupe also performed a few tracks in The Current studios for Minnesota public radio which is available to stream here.
Photos from The Jicks live in-store performance at Amoeba Records (San Francisco) last week have been uploaded to the gallery while the always awesome La Blogotheque have a semi-impromptu Jicks’ set (videos) available for your viewing pleasure.
